Richard Herrick has been with Savage & Associates since 1971. His areas of specialty are estate planning, retirement/investment services, business continuation, and employee benefits. Many of his clients are high-net-worth individuals, such as doctors, business owners, and other professionals.

Experience

Richard has been a partner at Savage & Associates. For 15 years, in conjunction with servicing his clients, he also ran the Education and Training Department, teaching the recruits what the financial services business is all about. He then developed the Advanced Planning area, also helping representatives develop their businesses and their knowledge in the areas of estate planning, business continuation, and other sophisticated planning concepts.

Education

Richard earned his bachelor's degree in finance from The University of Toledo in 1971. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in September 1980, and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in October 1982. He has completed his series 7 and series 63 securities licenses. He is part of a national study group, which keeps him on the cutting edge of creative products and concepts within his business.

Personal

Richard and his wife, Marianne, have always lived in the Toledo area. They currently reside in Maumee, Ohio, with their children. Katie is completing her study as a speech pathologist; Richie, who is a recent graduate of Miami University, has a bachelor's degree in accounting; Jimmy is attending Miami University majoring in finance; and Maggie is attending St. Ursula High School. Over the years, Richard has coached his children in their various sporting activities. He has also been very involved in his church and parish, and sat on the board of other non-profit organizations, helping to give back to his community.
